Are you a practice manager or partner at a veterinary clinic? Would you like to support your new grad vets more?

Are your newly qualified vets feeling overwhelmed, anxious and struggle to switch off?

Are members of your team mentally exhausted and at the risk of burnout?

Are they finding the pressure of the job too much, and aren't performing at their best as a result?

It is a challenging time to be a vet right now.

The industry is in crisis, clients are stretched and have higher than ever expectations.

Imagine entering this world when you only qualified within the last few years? Lockdown restrictions made your training a challenge, and you’re trying to navigate life as a new grad vet, but it's hard.

You don’t need me to tell you that new grad vets are feeling anxious and overwhelmed, and that they are struggling to switch off from the job. They are burnt out, and struggling with resilience. The last thing you need right now is anyone else going off sick.

Newly qualified are finding client communication hard, and struggling with juggling the workload, and with trying to find a balance between work and home life.

On top of this they feel a heavy weight of responsibility.

To do their best for their patients and the practice.

For some it’s just too much. Many are leaving the industry.

I know that you understand the importance of mentoring and supporting your team. I also know that running a practice plus your clinical work means you’re stretched.

You don’t have time, but I do. It’s my job after all.

Let me introduce myself. I’m Nicola, a business mentor and mindset coach, and I’m currently focusing more of my work on supporting new grad vets. I’m a lifelong equestrian, and I’ve worked with many vets through my training company, and I’ve been coaching animal therapists for the last four years.

I support my vet clients by giving them a ‘toolbox’ to deal with tricky cases, challenging clients and not feeling ‘good enough’. I show them how to build a stronger mindset, and together we develop practical solutions that they can implement day to day whilst out on the road. As a result they are enjoying their work more, feel happier, are sleeping better, and have a plan to navigate the ups and downs of vet life.

I’d love to support the team at your practice as well.
